100% Volunteer!!

Coconut Creek Little League is a 100% Volunteer organization. We don't pay any of our umpires, and we have some of the best youth baseball umpires in South Florida.  Not only are we getting quality umpires, some of the best in District 10, Umpires who are out there for the right reasons, but we are also reducing our costs so that we can keep registration fees low!

If you new to coaching umpiring is a great way to get preview what to expect as you progress to the upper division, and gain valuable experience by observing games at that level.  You may be surprised at what you don't know about the rules of little league baseball.

The Umpire is an important part of Little League Baseball, aside from calling balls or strikes, safe or out, umpires are responsible for teaching players good sportsmanship and the rules of the game.  Umpires are also called upon to interpret rules and help settle minor disputes that may occur during games.

As a non-profit organization the Coconut Creek Little League relies on volunteer Umpires for all of their games.  We have a core of dedicated Umpires who have graciously given of their time but we are still woefully understaffed. We are always seeking Volunteer umpires of all ranges of experience, or even no experience at all.  You can progress at your own comfort level and start off slow as you receive on-the-job training. All equipment is provided and all we ask of you is your time.

Most Little League games have one home plate umpire and a minimum of one field umpire.  Before becoming a home plate umpire you may be required to participate in training sessions and seminars.
